Orange Blossom                                    May 10, 2010

On a street called Orange Blossom in the Arizona Country Club is an unassuming house.   From the street the house is not impressive. Once inside the home you know that there is something special about it.  You know what they say, "location, location location." This home has one of the best views of Camelback Mountain and overlooks the entire Arizona Country Club golf course.

It was purchased several years ago and was to be our residence for a short time before we remodeled it.  Time moved by quickly and the remodel never got off the ground. Now we are in one of the worst housing markets ever. The question is what to do?

Sell it as is for a loss?  Remodel the home and hope it will sell for a higher price?  Remodel the home and keep it as a rental? There is a lot of competition. How much should be spent on remodeling? Will there be a return on the investment? Can there be in the current environment? Do we make it bigger? Add square footage or just give it a facelift?

Over the next few months Homes2Love will explore these issues and others on our website, www.Homes2Love.biz. Follow our progress on Facebook, twitter and Linked-in as we take you through the anatomy of a house remodel in 2010. Stay tuned.
